Welcome to Repeal the Bailout, an online resource for intellectual activism on the US Government's dangerous and immoral "financial bailout" policies. Inspired by outrage at Congressional passage of the 850 billion dollar Bush/Paulson "financial bailout bill" on October 3, 2008, Repeal the Bailout uncompromisingly opposes such legislation, and advocates the repeal of any that may still be in effect.

In some encouraging news for a change: an apparently spontaneous on-air rant last week on by CNBC Analyst Rick Santelli appears to have started to help galvanize a popular backlash against the administration's new "mortgage bailout" plan. Watch the video that everyone is now talking about:

Santelli's Tea Party - Rick Santelli on CNBC "Squawk Box," Feb. 19, 2009 (video).

Rick's Revolution - Rick Santelli on CNBC's The Kudlow Report, Feb. 23, 2009 (video). Kudlow also takes White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs for attacking Rick Santelli in a press conference. (Hat tip to Ed Thompson.)
